But Why?

Years ago I came across the following image. I came to "The Hobby" about 30 years ago. Across the years I've met quite a few people that will tell either myself or others that they're doing something terribly wrong in the way they're approaching a project, game or otherwise. Grognards, Rivet Counters, Rules Lawyers, there are a bunch of terms for people that do this, which may or may not apply to a particular instance. But I think in each case they're damaging the community.  In some instances it will stop someone painting an army, returning to a club, or ever trying a new set of rules. Each new person you meet in this hobby is someone who is willing to invest their time into...

Starting to Give Back

This is mostly just a test post, to see how this all pieces together. I'm going to attempt once more to start and maintain a blog about my miniature wargaming. I recently attended Cancon '23, meeting several 'hobby heroes'.  One of which mentioned that their blog is to give something back to the gaming community. Being online is a part of my job, so I've always consumed online wargaming content. This way I'm hoping I can provide some value back into the community, even if it's just my 2 cents.
