But Why?
Years ago I came across the following image. It stuck with me for quite some time, taking up more real estate in my head than I would ever have expected.

Took me a while, but I think I've figured out why. I came to "The Hobby" about 30 years ago. Across the years I've met quite a few people that will tell either myself or others that they're doing something terribly wrong in the way they're approaching a project, game or otherwise. Grognards, Rivet Counters, Rules Lawyers, there are a bunch of terms for people that do this, which may or may not apply to a particular instance. But I think in each case they're damaging the community.
In some instances it will stop someone painting an army, returning to a club, or ever trying a new set of rules. Each new person you meet in this hobby is someone who is willing to invest their time into building, painting and playing with toy soldiers. We should encourage that where we can and share our wins across the community
